Walnut Creek is fast becoming a “where to eat” destination in the East Bay. There’s a wide range of offerings from fine dining to quick eats, with ambiance options galore. So what are the don’t miss places?

Here are some of the best restaurants in Walnut Creek:

Tozai Izakaya

This restaurant only opened 3 months ago, so it’s certainly a hot-spot for Walnut Creek foodies right now. Their menu is traditional japanese, so if you’re not familiar with the words on the menu, let your server help you decide. Rumor has it they import fish directly from Tsukiji fish market in Japan. Beware, there is no breakfast or lunch here.

Va de Vi Bistro & Wine Bar

Trip Advisor’s #1 pick in Walnut Creek, Va de Vi has a full gluten free menu! Aside from that, it also has a small plates menu, a large dessert menu, and an artisanal cheese menu. A wine bar with lots of dessert and artisanal cheese is close to heaven, and the ambiance only adds to that.

Lokanta Grill & Bar

This popular restaurant has a sophisticated menu of Turkish, Greek and Mediterranean Fusion Cuisine. It’s most well known for its Lamb Burger, and authentic recipes, with a menu so wide and varied anyone can find the dish for them.

Heavenly Bistro

This place is famous for Traditional American breakfast & brunch. Basically, this is Eggs Benedict heaven. But don’t be mistaken: there are waffles, pancakes, french toast, omelettes, and tons of delicious lunch options too!

Walnut Creek Yacht Club

The WCYC always has 6 varieties of oysters plus littleneck clams in their Raw Bar, plus a wide offering of fish dishes. There are also beef, chicken, and vegetarian menu items, but this place is known and loved for its seafood.
