The programs range in variety and frequency based on the age group. It serves kids from 18 months old to 5 years of age.
Once kids enter elementary school, Pleasant Hill continues to provide complimentary programs and activities. They are diverse in that they cover everything from aquatics to after school care to even youth sports. In addition, there are programs to allow kids to get after school enrichment or stay busy during breaks. These could be physical, artistic, or even science based.
Entering your teenage years can be challenging, but Pleasant Hills Parks and Rec department has expansive programs for this age group. They’ve tailored many of the youth activities to teenage levels, but they’ve also created a Teen Council. This group is composed of teenagers who meet twice a month to develop programs and activities to appeal to their peers.
Growing up doesn’t mean that you are left out of the loop. The city of Pleasant Hill has amazing programming for every age bracket. For adults, there are programs in the arts, aquatics, and enrichment.
