Do you ever read your daily horoscope and think, Wow, that sounds just like ME? I’m sure we have all had that experience. Believe it or not, there are more than a few folks who think that perhaps astrology can apply to pets too!
So, whether you’re a believer or not, VCA Veterinary has a fun take on what your pet’s zodiac sign may say about them.
As you may know, I love my dogs. My sidekick is an imperial shih tzu named Ruby and as the term applies, she is a beautiful, royal girl! With black hair, dark eyes and a big attitude, she’s my little mascot. Shih tzus are well-known as being bred as companion dogs for ancient Tibetan royalty and Ruby certainly lives up to her historic breeding expectation. But is it possible that her astrological sign could tell me even more about her?
Ruby is a Capricorn and her sign suggests that she is a great protector (no matter her size!) because she’s incredibly loyal and will always be by my side. While it’s definitely true that Ruby adores me and is always nearby, or in my arms, it’s hard to imagine a 7-pound dog providing a lot of protection—unless doggy kisses fall into that category.
